Training with Master Scott DiSpirito in the style of Taekwondo Moo Duk Kwan has been a great experience for both my children and myself. They have become more disciplined and their confidence has improved dramatically. Even though we live almost an hour away, it is worth the drive to find a studio that not only trains great fighters, but develops great human beings.

Martial Arts have taught my two sons respect for adults,the community,and self-discipline.In addition to learning Taekwondo they are taught many other valuable life lessons. The best decision we made was to sign Michael up for Taekwondo. We have been very lucky to have a great instructor and mentor in Master DiSpirito. We have seen our son grow and flourish within the art.

Our daughter has been training under Master Scott DiSpirito for nearly ten years. It has been an invaluable experience. The art has transformed her both mentally and physically. She is striving to achieve her second Dan black belt. It is quite impressive to find an instructor that not only teaches the tech niques required to advance in the Dojang, but one who expresses a deep concern for the whole student to become a respectful member of the community. I am a friend of Master DiSpirito and was the best man at his wedding.Training in the martial arts with him has not only allowed me to overcome carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my hands, it has enabled me to become a skilled guitarist. I met Master DiSpirito when he and his wife Elizabeth visited my place of business in New Jersey. We spoke in detail about training in the art. I was overweight and had no direction. I took his advice and began training shortly after. I became consumed with it and became a tournament competitor. It changed my life forever.

I have had a great experience at The Rising Phoenix Studio for the past six years. The instructors there are extremely knowledgeable in the various martial art forms they offer. The instructors are willing to devote the time to you in developing those same skills in you!

I met Mr. DiSpirito and his wife Elizabeth while satisfying and insurance claim at their townhouse. Scott was less then excited to see me under the circumstances; however, he had this unique persona about him that intrigued me. I couldn't quite figure it out. A couple of weeks later I stopped in his house unannounced and he didn't answer the door, so I called him. He answered the phone with an attitude. I asked him what was on his mind and he calmly explained to me he was in the middle of the eighth chapter of his upcoming book Live to Train/Train to Live and when he is in the middle of creating, interruptions can be very disturbing.
I apologized, and Scott said it is all good, not an issue Martin. We slowly became friends and I wanted to learn a bit more about Mr. DiSpirito. I found out he is a Master in the Martial Arts and has his own studio. The commitment he possesses combined with his absolute dedication has empowered so many individuals throughout his career. Scott has changed many aspects of my life and I look forward to our continued friendship.
